This article describes how to use the HTML Message URL Mail Merge feature. This feature is ideal for subscribers who may have trouble viewing your message through their email client. This Mail Merge feature is used to place a link on your message that the subscriber can click to view the message in a new browser window. Below are two (2) ways to utilize this feature.

A) Place the following line in your html:

<a href=”{{{browseonline}}}”>If you cannot view this message, click here</a>

B)

1. Click Send Emails from the Email Manager.

2. At the first line of your html, type the text you would like your subscribers to see (ex. Can't view this message? Please click here to open this message in a new browser window).

3. Select HTML Message URL from the Mail Merge pull down menu.

4. Click the Add Mail Merge link. A new window will pop up containing the mail merge code.

5. Copy the code to notepad or clipboard.

5. Click Cancel to close the Mail Merge window.

6. Launch the HTML Editor by clicking on Use HTML Editor at the left of the HTML window.

7. Locate and highlight the text you added in step 2.

8. Click on the Hyperlink button on the right hand corner of the HTML Editor toolbar (a globe, three icons over).

9. Paste the mail merge code from your clipboard or notepad in the URL field and click Insert Link.

10. Click Close and Save.

That's it! Your link is installed. Send your email out as usual following the normal steps.

Note: This walkthrough can be followed for any Mail Merge feature included in the pull down menu.
