Uploading a list helps you import subscriber information existing on your computer to the e-mail marketing system thus saving you from keying in required customer data into the system. Follow the steps below to upload a list:
1. Click Upload Your List appearing under List Tools & Utilities menu.
2. The application displays all lists you created with total number of email addresses indicated within parentheses. Click Load from File link of the list to which you need to import data.
3. You will view terms of service agreement. Endorsing this agreement ascertains that you have acquired all email ids to be imported through opt-ins. Click I Agree, contiue to proceed. Clicking I Do Not Agree will restrict you from importing subscriber data.
4. In the Select file to import: box, specify the file to be imported by using the Browse… button. Please note the key information about importing data stated on this screen.
5. In the Select Column Separating Character: pull-down list, choose a delimiter from the given pull-down list. By default, the application uses comma as the delimiter. The selected delimiter demarcates values of different parameters for a subscriber.
6. Click Continue to Step 2.
7. You will then be asked whether you would like to keep Row 1. If you have defined headings in Row 1, you should skip it. Next, define the field names for each of the columns by selecting an appropriate name from the corresponding drop down menu.
8. Click Import.
9. You will receive a confirmation stating whether the list has been uploaded or not.
