Viewing Delivery Statistics

Delivery statistics in a report show the total number of emails sent alongwith the successful and failed deliveries. Additionally, the application also informs you of the type of problem that might have resulted in a mail delivery failure. To view delivery statistics of an email:

1. Generate a report for the email for which you want to assess delivery statistics and look at the Delivery Statistics section of the report. The section begins by showing the total number of emails sent followed by a graphical representation of messages sent successfully, messages undelivered, and messages that bounced back.

2. Click View Undelivered for detailed information about soft bounces, which refer to those delivery failures that occurred because of a temporary problem with the recipients' email adderss. For a soft bounce, the returning Web server sends a 400 series error, such as Server timeout.

Export this information to another file by clicking Export List of Soft Bounces.

3. Click View Bounce Backs for detailed information about hard bounces, which refers to those delivery failures that occurred because the recipients' email address was not working. For a hard bounce, the returning Web server returns a 500 series error, such as User unknown.

Export this information to another file by clicking Export List of Hard Bounces.
